Why do people object to revivals?
Without pretending to know people's motives, one cannot help but wonder if inconvenience, the danger of unhealthy emotions, the desire to keep spirituality at a comfortable level, all play a role in bringing objections to revival, to say nothing of negating theological understandings that come into play.
Luke 2:34 “Behold, this Child is set for the falling and rising up of many in Israel; and for a sign which is spoken against. . . that thoughts out of many hearts may be revealed."
Some speak out of ignorance. They have never experienced it and don't know anything about revival.
